The Zanzibar 8 Days 7 Nights Package is the island in full, with the luxury of time built in. It balances four active touring days, two relaxation days and easy arrival and departure days, so you experience everything Zanzibar is famous for and still return home properly rested.
The adventure opens on the water with the flagship Safari Blue Tour — dhow sailing, snorkeling, a sandbank stop and a seafood barbecue — then continues with an ocean day at Mnemba Atoll, swimming with green sea turtles and Kendwa Beach. A gentle day follows, ending aboard a dhow at sunset. Next comes nature and novelty — the red colobus monkeys of Jozani Forest, a swim in a hidden limestone cave, and a meal at The Rock. A full free day lets you simply be on the beach, before a final cultural day through Stone Town, a working Spice Farm and Prison Island.

Itinerary
Day 1 — Arrival in Zanzibar & Hotel Transfer
Your week begins the moment you land. Your driver meets you at Abeid Amani Karume International Airport with a name board and a warm welcome, then transfers you privately to your hotel — anywhere on the island, with the coast drifting past along the way.
The rest of the day is yours to settle in at your own pace: unpack, take a swim, relax by the pool, or enjoy a first beachside dinner. No tours are scheduled today, so you arrive comfortably and rest for the days ahead.
Day 2 — Safari Blue: A Full Day of Dhow Sailing, Snorkeling & a Seafood Feast
Your first full day is Zanzibar’s flagship ocean adventure. After breakfast your guide transfers you south to Fumba, where a traditional sailing dhow is waiting.
The Safari Blue Tour takes you across Menai Bay to snorkel over vivid coral gardens, sail between beautiful islets, and relax on a soft sandbank as the tide falls. A generous seafood barbecue with seasonal tropical fruit is served on the beach, and dolphins are often spotted along the way, before you sail back in the late afternoon and return to your hotel to rest.
Day 3 — Mnemba Atoll, Sea Turtles & Kendwa Beach: A Full Day on the Water
Today is all sun and sea. After an early breakfast you head to the northeast coast for a boat trip to Mnemba Atoll, one of East Africa’s finest snorkeling sites, where clear water and living coral gardens teem with tropical fish, and dolphins often appear on the way out.
You then visit a natural tidal lagoon near Nungwi to swim with green sea turtles in their seawater sanctuary, learning about the conservation work that protects them.
The day finishes at Kendwa Beach, one of the few northern beaches swimmable through low tide — powdery sand and warm turquoise water for a beachside lunch, a swim, or optional water sports, before you’re driven back to your hotel.
Day 4 — A Day to Unwind & a Sunset Dhow Cruise
Today is deliberately gentle. Enjoy a slow breakfast and a free day to do exactly as you please — laze on the beach, explore around your hotel, book an optional treatment, or simply rest.
In the evening you set sail on a traditional wooden sunset dhow cruise, gliding across calm water with a cool drink in hand and Swahili tunes in the background as the sky turns orange and pink over the Indian Ocean. You return to your hotel relaxed and unhurried.
Day 5 — Jozani Forest, Cave Swimming & The Rock Restaurant: Rainforest, Hidden Pools & an Ocean Table
Today blends wild nature with one of Zanzibar’s most photographed experiences. You begin in Jozani Forest, the island’s only national park, walking shaded trails and the mangrove boardwalk among the endemic red colobus monkeys found nowhere else on Earth.
From there you continue to a hidden limestone cave, descending a few steps into cool, crystal-clear freshwater for a refreshing swim.
In the afternoon you head to The Rock Restaurant, the famous eatery perched on a coral outcrop in the sea, for fresh seafood and Swahili cuisine with sweeping views — reached on foot or by boat depending on the tide — before returning to your hotel.
Day 6 — A Full Day of Rest: Zanzibar at Your Own Pace
Today has nothing scheduled at all — it’s yours to spend however you like. Sleep in, linger over breakfast, and let the island slow you right down.
Stretch out on the sand, float in the warm ocean, book a spa treatment, or wander to a beach bar for a long lunch.
If you’d rather stay active, we can arrange an optional add-on such as a village visit, quad biking or a spice market stroll — just let your guide know. Otherwise, this is a day simply to recharge before your final adventure.
Day 7 — Stone Town, Spice Farm & Prison Island: A Full Day of Culture, Aroma & Giant Tortoises
Your final touring day covers Zanzibar’s cultural heart. You start on foot in Stone Town, the UNESCO-listed old quarter, passing carved wooden doors and busy bazaars to see the Old Fort, the House of Wonders, the former slave-market site and Forodhani Gardens, with centuries of history brought to life.
Next you head inland to a working Spice Farm, smelling, touching and tasting the cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla that named the Spice Island, and sampling fresh tropical fruit.
In the afternoon a short boat ride carries you to Prison Island (Changuu) to meet its giant Aldabra tortoises — some past a hundred years old — before returning to your hotel for your last night on the island.
Day 8 — Departure: Kwaheri, Zanzibar
Your last morning is unhurried. Enjoy a relaxed breakfast, a final swim, or some last-minute shopping for spices and souvenirs, then a private transfer — timed to your flight — takes you to the airport.
As you retrace the coastal road you arrived on, you’ll carry a full week of the island with you, and an open invitation from Rama and the team to return.
