Day three turns to the sea — snorkeling the vivid coral gardens of Mnemba Atoll, swimming beside green sea turtles at Nungwi, and finishing on Kendwa, one of the few northern beaches that stays swimmable through the tides.

Itinerary
Day 1 — Arrival in Zanzibar & Hotel Transfer
Your holiday starts the moment you touch down. Your driver meets you at Abeid Amani Karume International Airport with a name board and a warm welcome, then transfers you privately to your hotel — anywhere on the island, from Stone Town to the northern beaches, with the Indian Ocean glinting through the palms along the way.
The rest of the day is deliberately open: check in, drop your bags, and let the island set your pace. Take a swim, relax by the pool, or stroll the beach for your first sunset. No tours are scheduled today, so you can arrive comfortably and rest for the days ahead.
Day 2 — Stone Town, Spice Farm & Prison Island: A Full Day of Culture, Aroma & Giant Tortoises
After breakfast your guide collects you for Zanzibar’s cultural heart, woven into one well-paced day. You begin on foot in Stone Town, the UNESCO-listed old quarter, winding past carved wooden doors and busy bazaars to take in the Old Fort, the House of Wonders, the former slave-market site and Forodhani Gardens, with centuries of Swahili, Arab, Indian and European history brought to life by your guide. From there you head inland to a working Spice Farm, where you’ll smell, touch and taste the cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla that named the Spice Island, learn how each is grown and used, and enjoy fresh tropical fruit picked from the trees.
In the afternoon a short boat ride carries you across to Prison Island (Changuu), home to the famous giant Aldabra tortoises — some well past a hundred years old. You’ll meet these gentle giants up close, hear the island’s story as a former quarantine station, and cool off with a swim over the reef before returning to your hotel for the evening.
Day 3 — Mnemba Atoll, Sea Turtles & Kendwa Beach: A Full Day on the Water
Today belongs entirely to the ocean. After an early breakfast you head to the northeast coast for a boat trip out to Mnemba Atoll, one of East Africa’s finest snorkeling sites, where clear water and living coral gardens teem with tropical fish — and dolphins are often spotted on the way out.
Next you visit a natural tidal lagoon near Nungwi to swim with green sea turtles in their seawater sanctuary, watching these graceful animals glide beneath you.
You’ll finish at Kendwa Beach, one of the few northern beaches that stays swimmable through low tide — powdery white sand and warm turquoise water where you can enjoy a beachside lunch, swim, or simply relax before being driven back to your hotel.
Day 4 — Departure: Kwaheri, Zanzibar
Your final morning is unhurried. Enjoy a relaxed breakfast, a last swim, or some final shopping for spices and souvenirs, then a private transfer — timed to your exact flight — delivers you to the airport.
As you retrace the coastal road you arrived on, you’ll carry a fuller picture of the island, and an open invitation from Rama and the team to return.
